Jho’s Book of the Month
The bestselling book, THE HIDDEN LIFE OF TREES, by Peter Wohlleben has been transformed into a gorgeous and engrossing graphic novel by co-author Fred Bernard and illustrator Benjamin Flao. We read and discussed the book in our Graphic Novel Book Club this month, and I was blown away by the artistry, readability, and storytelling of this amazing collaboration. I pored over Flao’s absolutely stunning watercolor illustrations and learned way more about evapotranspiration, mycelium networks, and the grandeur and complexity of primary forests than I ever learned in high school Biology class. This coffee table sized graphic novel is a great gift for yourself and all your nerdy, nature- and art-loving friends and family!
I can’t wait!
